This has been a church site since 1852, when the Wesleyan Methodists built their first small chapel here. A larger part of the church was added in 1890, and you can still see the original chapel’s date-stone and a window today. There are also seven special cornerstones on the church. Each one has the initials of a person who helped build the church.
