The Town of Milton and Arts Milton have begun efforts to roll out initiatives within their Culture Plan. Phase 2 of this project will begin on Monday, July 17th with the installation of a mural on the Hugh Lane Walkway in between Knox Church and The Bistro on Main. We look forward to having more art from local artists showcased in Downtown Milton.

The theme of the project is anti-racism and anti-hate. The theme strives to foster an environment where art becomes a catalyst for dialogue, connection and understanding. The project brings together artists from diverse backgrounds with the goal of creating a mural that reflects the richness and beauty of our community.

The Hugh Lane walkway will be closed periodically throughout the summer while the mural is being painted. Work will be completed by Sunday, September 3rd at the latest. It will remain open Saturday mornings to ensure access to the Farmers’ Market.

We are excited to watch the project progress over the summer. Click here to learn more about the project and the artists working on the new vibrant and engaging mural.
