The Milton Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area and the Town of Milton are dedicated to the promotion of economic development and prosperity for the enrichment of the business community and have come together to encourage Miltonians to shop local through the #ShopLocalMilton campaign.
“Supporting Milton businesses is always a necessity, but especially throughout the pandemic,” said Scott McCammon, President & CEO of the Milton Chamber of Commerce. “The #ShopLocalMilton initiative, a partnership with the federal government and Ontario Chamber of Commerce, is a great way for us to showcase all Milton has to offer.”
The #ShopLocalMilton campaign is a government funded program run through the Milton Chamber to support local businesses and to encourage everyone to buy, think, stay and eat local.
“We are thrilled to be working with the Milton Chamber of Commerce on their #ShopLocalMilton campaign, encouraging Milton residents to shop, buy and eat at local businesses,” said Rachel Shuttlesworth, Executive Director of the DMBIA. “Through a variety of online, print, broadcast and in-person initiatives, we are working to promote local businesses and help boost economic recovery in our community.”
Shopping locally has been proven to boost the local economy, create more jobs and is an opportunity for personal investment in the Milton community. A win, win for all Miltonians.
“With the help of the Government of Canada and the Milton Chamber of Commerce, the Shop Local campaign can make a difference for local businesses and help move Milton’s recovery forward,” said Milton Mayor Gord Krantz. “As we work to get through this pandemic, we all have a role to play, and our Chamber of Commerce continues to support all small business owners and entrepreneurs within Milton. We are committed to working with all our economic development partners through the Shop Local campaign to support our restaurants and small business owners.”
