Do you need to hem some pants and not sure where to start? Join us for an alteration workshop, we will teach you the basics of what you need to know.

Date: Thursday, April 23rd, 2026

Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to get settled in)

Workshop Fee: $60.00 plus tax

Duration of Workshop: Approximately 2 hours

Minimum Participants: 2

Maximum Participants: 4

Age Requirement: 16+

Skill Level: Must know how to operate/trouble shoot a sewing machine without assistance.

Our workshops start promptly and on time….be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to set up and settle in.

What to bring:

-Sewing machine in good working order

-Sewing measuring tape

-Ruler

-Fabric Scissors

-Rotary cutter

-Coordinating 100% polyester sew-all thread

-2 pairs of pants to be hemmed, 1 pair of jeans and 1 pair of other pants of your choice

-Appropriate sewing machine needle

-Sewing pins

-Chalk

Pre-Workshop:

-We will email you 1 week prior to your workshop start date as a reminder

-Come into the store 1-2 days minimum in advance of your scheduled workshop to pick out your fabric/thread/notions if needed.

-Please do not arrive unprepared or late as it will negatively impact your allotted workshop time.

You will receive a 10% discount on fabrics and tools when purchasing in-store (applies to regularly priced items only, cannot be combined with any other promotion or sale), for the purpose of this workshop only. If you are an existing Sewing Club Member, the additional 10% discount will not apply.

Please Note:

-Restroom is not wheelchair/walker accessible.

-When you register for a workshop…. consider your payment as confirmation. Also, unless we contact you either by phone or email, workshops will run as scheduled

Workshop Policies:

-In order to ensure that each student receives enough attention to learn and complete a project in the allotted time frame, our workshops are limited in the number of participants, based on the workshop being taught unless otherwise stated. Materials and supplies are not included in the workshop fee unless otherwise noted.

-Safety is our first concern at Oh Look, Fabric! Should a participant not adhere to the instructor’s instructions and/or be a disruption for other participants, the participant may be removed from the workshop and the workshop fee will be forfeited.

-No spectators allowed.

Payment and Cancellation Policies:

-Spaces in our workshops are limited, therefore to reserve a seat in any of our workshops, payment in full must be received at the time of registration. You may register for a workshop in person or on our website at www.ohlookfabric.com.

-If the minimum amount of participants is not met, the workshop will be cancelled and the workshop fee will be refunded in full.

-All workshops start on time, our front door opens 15 minutes prior to your workshop start time, if you arrive late (more than 10 minutes late), you will not be permitted to participate and your workshop fee will be forfeited entirely. -Oh Look, Fabric! is not responsible for workshops missed due to lateness, sickness, car trouble, weather, scheduling issues, etc.

-All workshops are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
