Rock Star Ice Cream just opened their doors in Downtown Milton. They are located at 208 Main Street E, and open Monday to Thursday 3 p.m.- 8p.m., Friday and Saturday 12 p.m.-9p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m.- 8p.m.
We asked Charlie, the owner of Rock Star Ice Cream, a few questions to help you get to know him better.
What do you love most about Downtown Milton?
I was born and raised in Milton. For as long as I can remember Downtown Milton has been the heart of all my community memories growing up. Fireworks, parades, markets, festivals and many other gatherings, they all take place in our wonderful Downtown Milton. We at Rock Star Ice Cream now look forward to being part of some of those family memories, one scoop at a time!
What would you like the community to know about your business?
After a long wait for Freezers to arrive we are now OPEN. We scoop Shaw’s Ice Cream exclusively; if you haven’t tried it before, you must. It’s amazing!!! We also carry some fresh baked goods such as cannoli, Portuguese custard tarts, cookies and more.
What is something interesting about you?
I have been a professional musician for the last 29 years, playing all sorts of venues and festivals. I have been blessed to bring happiness and comfort to people with my gift of music. In 2013, Halton Regional Police awarded my band mates and I with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award for our volunteer work (performing at different fundraising events). This was an honour beyond belief! My greatest accomplishment though, is being the husband of the most beautiful wife and the father of two amazing boys – by far my greatest accomplishment.
