The Blacksmith Open House is an opportunity in a small group setting to:
- Meet one of our blacksmith instructors in person and ask questions.
- Watch a 10 minute live demonstration by a blacksmith.
- View the shop layout and equipment.
- Learn details about courses, schedules and costs by the coordinator.
- Qualify for a $25 rebate towards a Fall Beginner blacksmith course.
The Blacksmith Shop “Open House” is free to visitors and there are no obligations.
The Blacksmith courses at the Waldie Blacksmith shop are taught using traditional blacksmith techniques and tools on our coal fired forges.
Participants must Pre-register for a 30 minute session. Each session is limited to 5 visitors. All participants are required to wear a face mask in the shop. Participants should also wear old natural fiber clothing and no open toed footwear. Free Parking is available on the street or at nearby municipal parking lots. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. All are welcome. Open House sessions are scheduled the morning of August 20th.
